This is your invitation to lead. This is your invitation to make an impact. This is your invitation to CHALLENGE THE EXPECTED.

Join Toronto+Acumen  on Thursday November 26th at 6:30 pm for our 1st Investing for Impact Gala held at Toronto’s iconic Masonic Temple (Bloor and Yonge).

We’re so often told that to make a positive change in the lives of the disadvantaged, we must make charitable donations to traditional non-profit models;

Yet we often hear of stories where no legacy is left once those funds have dissipated and the charities have left.

We also hear that there is no place for business in the non-profit sector;

Yet we know that groundbreaking ideas through business models can have great potential to scale.

As this traditional thinking gets challenged, many start seeking to create long-lasting impact.

Join us for a journey at our Investing for Impact Gala which will include:

  • Keynote speeches from individuals who chose to challenge the expected: Social entrepreneurs and impact investors who leveraged what they learned in traditional corporate sectors and transitioned to impact-oriented work:
  • Social enterprise booths showcasing Toronto’s impact community
  • Hors d’oeuvres including:
    • Sushi prepared during live sushi-making demonstrations
    • Cupcakes
  • Beer and wine
  • Exciting silent auction items
